Mission Statement

My mission is to encourage and assist all people to engage in a life of positive health and well-being. As a certified sports nutritionist, personal trainer and upon finishing my Masters of Social Work, it is my goal to advise and motivate others to be at their utmost potential. I am a survivor of severe ulcerative colitis, so I uphold a wealth of experience in having learned first- hand about gastrointestinal disorders and their negative repercussions. This has enabled me to gain insight about what a proper diet and exercise regimen can truly accomplish for the human body. In addition, my undergoing of surgery to correct the illness (called a j-pouch, which means they took out my colon and gave me a temporary “bag”) has only further enhanced my need to help individuals achieve and maintain a consistent pattern of healthy digestion, where the root of all health-related pathologies and diseases derive. I have learned that my disease could have been avoided, and I want to teach and guide people who have initial signs of the disease about preventative practices and how to turn their illness around. It is my goal to point you in the right direction and teach you the essence of optimal health. This entire site is an interactive chain of networking with one another to provide advice, support and a continuum of education. I welcome interaction with your questions and concerns. Here at Maxim, we are in the formation process of the GIRTech “Gastrointestinal Research Technologies, a not-for-profit organization to research reversing gastrointestinal disease disorders and eventually doing investigational new drug application for proactive nutraceutical technologies. If you wish to be a sponsor, advisory board member, contributor, proactive member or volunteer, please contact me.
